Grouse season opened this past weekend. It was way too hot for any long hunts. Seemed to be a lot of birds this year, but the leaves are still on the trees making shooting really tough. The streams have plenty of water in them this year. Past years it has been very dry. Not as many hunters though, maybe the economy is keeping them closer to home.
